one of the drawbacks of apartment life can be the lack of any outdoor green space. having lived in apartments most of my adult life, i often craved a tiny garden i could plant with herbs and flowers, and would milk any balcony or sunny window spot for all it was worth — adding container gardens and potted plants wherever the sunlight would allow. but this turn of the century apartment constructed in 1903 came with a charming garden room all its own. don’t you just love the idea of having a reading and writing glass-enclosed sun porch like this? they really knew what they were doing way back when — ahead of the curve and wise to the fact we all need a good dose of vitamin d each day.
