greetings, friends and happy friday. i keep seeing claims that the ‘end of summer’ is coming, and i just can’t go there yet. it’s only august, but i guess for most the end of the season traditionally ends after labor day, but i’m just not ready or willing to give up quite yet. thankfully i live in L.A. where it can be ninety degrees in november. anyway — today i’m into easygoing beachy vibes (can’t take california out of the girl!) and still in love with those cool tile floors, touches of terrazzo and pale aqua peeking out here and there. feels very laid back and perhaps the perfect mood for beginning the weekend. xo, victoria
- this bathroom is everything. there’s quite a bit of pattern play happening here, but those subtle pale colors really help this look work.
- this palm beach terrace is calling my name and i’m rushing to reply. those beautiful tile floors, that chaise lounge and view are hard to beat.
- i love a great vintage collection, and maven collect PDX is a wonderful online resource for shopping in a flea market atmosphere without even leaving your house.
- new york-based but world tripping photographer nicole franzen is one of my favorites, and this shot of hers of is a great example of her talent for capturing the sublime.
- another photography talent is the team of Scott and Ashley O’Malley and this oh-so-pretty ceiling is one of their shots from peacock pavilions in marrakech.
- remodelista recently featured an inspiring article: Expert Advice: How to Decorate Like a Frenchwoman and this butterfly chair paired with a playful print is spot on!
- this brooklyn loft is so dreamy and it has the perfect tile floors to prove it. have a look at the full tour and you’ll see what i mean.
- terrazzo is back in a big way and it’s not just covering the ground we walk on. this is one very stylish terrazzo top dining table and i love the portrait it’s paired with.
