one of our talented readers got in touch this week with some inspiring images and a genius idea we’re excited to share with you. cleverly curated by Bianca Wendt, an award-winning art director who recently moved to San Francisco from London, she transformed her beautiful apartment into a pop-up exhibition and store this weekend, ahead of the Halloween holiday. Dark Arts & Crafts was a one day only pop-up exhibition and shop celebrating the dark side of design. Taking place just in time for Halloween in her San Francisco apartment, the event offered a selection of new and vintage desirable objects that were spooky and kooky and showcased artists and craftspeople from the Bay Area and LA mixed with an international and vintage selection of curios. Not just a grand idea for a pop-up, i quite like the idea of minimally embracing the Halloween holiday decorations in a more subtle fashion around the house.
the Dark Arts & Crafts contributors included:
Handmade brooms for the aspiring witch by Hannah B Quinn @hannahbquinn
Eelko Moorer, an artist, and craftsperson based in London
