whenever i’ve been in paris, i couldn’t help but notice that it holds up to its reputation as the la Ville des Lumières — the city of lights. at around 4pm in the afternoon the entire city just glows and i can never snap enough photos to capture all that precious light. it must have made a long-lasting impression upon me too, because when i sat down to write a post this morning i found myself being drawn to decor that also emits that kind of glow — natural woods, leather, pops of golden textiles like linen and velvet peeking through and giving these rooms a warm and fuzzy feeling, perfect for toasting up these chilly winter months.
