hurrah! it’s a long holiday weekend as we technically end summer with labor day here in the states, but honestly, this is the part of summer i start to really enjoy, as crowds (yes, even during covid) leave laguna and i can feel more comfortable spending time at the beaches. there’s nothing quite like a late afternoon under an umbrella as the sun starts to go down, and a good read after some splashing around in the sea. i hope you all have a peaceful, long weekend and we’ll see you back here on tuesday!

xo, victoria

  1. everyone needs a kitchen swing, am i right? the perfect spot for guests to perch while you cook. i’m quite envious of this one from @kitschcanmakeyourich’s lovely home and actually the whole kitchen is just so fresh, bright, and pretty.
  2. Australian photographer kara rosenlund always has spot-on styling, so it’s no surprise i love this kitchen, too. such a fun collection of kitchen accouterment and i’m gonna definitely steal the idea of hanging fruit in a market tote!
  3. i can’t help myself when it comes to a great piece of sculpture or a vintage bust, so i love this beautiful little vignette from @longingforlennon — the artwork and fan are a nice touch, too. she also runs a sweet vintage shop with a very well-curated eye for some wonderful finds.
  4. this is such a peaceful looking sleeping space from vintage house daylesford, an 1860’s miner’s cottage near Hepburn Springs, Australia. it’s not only a lovely place to rest your head, it’s also available to rent as luxury accommodation as well as locations for photoshoots, all beautifully designed and styled by Kali Cavanagh.
  5. framework studio in amsterdam creates some really lovely living spaces, but i especially love this particularly cozy, yet modern living room renovation located in an old Amsterdams School building. i’ve got a big crush on that brutalist cabinet and those ligne roset puffy chairs are definitely on my lust list.
  6. this eclectic living room has all the kinds of elements i’m drawn to, including that heirloom Eero Saarinen table, but what i really love is that hand-printed English wallpaper panel from Deborah Bowness called rosie’s chair. her entire collection is most inspiring!
  7. i love this restful lounging space in puglia, italy from designer marc heldens. those white leather daybed pieces and sofa are just divine, and while it’s all quite minimalist it still feels inviting and warm. i’d hang out for a long time!
  8. this is a dreamy space to sleep, it almost feels a bit cavern-like with those pretty stone walls and whitewashed wood-beamed ceilings. it features the Cestita Batería lantern from santa & cole lighting and the light it gives off bedside is really soft and warm.
