greetings one and all! i hope you’ve got some relaxing plans ahead of you for the weekend, and for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday next week. we’re going to take next week off, but i leave you with some vintage-inspired friday finds and also some news! i am creating a brand new journal to share with you that will land directly in your inbox if you so choose to sign up. it’s free and will simply be an extension of the blog entitled marché recommends with shoppable ideas and loads of design inspiration for you — so i do hope you’ll come along for the new journey. also — i made you some music for the holidays — you can listen and download on spotify! have a great holiday and see you back here soon!

xo, victoria

  1. i’m most enamored with this very feminine drapery idea from @thelavenderghost! i checked in with her and found out it’s a vintage chinese embroidery panel so guess what i’m hot on the hunt for? i’d love something like this for my bedroom window. check out her shop for more smashing inspiration!
  2. Home Style by City: Ideas and Inspiration from Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, and Copenhagen by stylist, photographer and author ida magntorn is one of my favorite design books from way back when, and is still completely inspiring. the book includes stylish and eclectic residences, all a little bit bohemian modern and very vintage-inspired, much like this pretty bedroom dresser.
  3. while we all can’t live in an italian palazzo, i quite like this platform bed and storage inspiration. i believe it would require building some sort of ‘extra’ floor above the existing floor and i think rolling bins underneath might be a very smart storage idea that looks good too.
  4. i don’t do a ton of christmas decorating anymore, with the exception of loads of white votive candles and fairy lights all around the garden. but i quite like this small idea of big beautiful oversized red berry branches decorating the living room. i may have to go foraging for some!
  5. i think we all need a chic-looking hammock in our living rooms, and most especially these days since the only holiday we’re getting appears to be a staycation for the foreseeable future — sigh. but if our homes are as cozy as casa Palma en Colonia Roma i’d be much more okay with it!
  6. i adore everything about this dining space featured on little upside down cake’s journal entry — the dark navy blue walls and eclectic mix of vintage furnishings and lighting. for more inspiration follow @littleupsidedowncake on instagram.
  7. @baixahouse is one of my very favorite places to stay in lisbon and it’s not just because of the friendly and welcoming service. their guest apartments are decorated beautifully and feel just like someone’s well-styled apartment — like this living room space, so you feel extra comfortable, cozy and right at home.
  8. i’m charmed by this little plant gallery and most especially its vintage vibes. i’m always on the hunt for fun little storage boxes like these for super marché — and the good news is we have a fresh collection from france arriving to the shop in the next couple of weeks, so check in soon. and if you love plants, be sure and follow @igorjosif for more like this and check out his latest book plant tribe.
