it would appear i’m going green with this week’s friday finds (come to think of it, last week was rather green, too!). i really love green interiors, they’ve just got a really crisp, fresh feeling and it’s a classic color that never really goes out of style. and, i love bringing the outdoor vibes inside, so there’s that lovely advantage to decorating with green, too. have a wonderful weekend everyone, i’ll see you next week!

- sight unseen is a favorite blog of mine, and this feature on french interior design duo Hauvette & Madani’s is a prime example of the good design stuff they share. they’ve got a modern seventies vibe going on and know just how to accessorize a room to give that effortless french je ne sais quoi. have a long look at their inspiring feature here.
- fancy a getaway to France’s Mediterranean coast? ouí, but of course! Maison Acacia is a beautiful boutique hotel in the small seaside village of La Ciotat that looks like an exceedingly charming place to stay. each room is decorated uniquely and quite sublimely. i found their wee kitchen backsplash in chambre trois quite inspiring — adding just a small amount of gorgeous green tile gives a tiny backsplash major impact.
- speaking of spectacular tile, how about this lush outdoor patio? featured in ceramics company lrnce’s lookbook it took my breath away. how i’d like to languish here napping on a warm, sunny afternoon. have a look at their entire tumblr for more inspiring looks.
- based in milano, italy dedar is my new design crush. i’m in love with their contemporary home fabrics, wallpapers, and trimmings and their styling is spot-on. i love this bold green print paired with a vintage bamboo chair. my favorite kind of juxtaposition pairing an older piece with fresh new fabric. for more inspiration follow them on instagram.
- Australian-based blog the design files is always sharing the most inspiring homes, and this tour is no different. it’s the home of a young couple in the trending neighborhood of Warrandyte in a bush-like suburb near melbourne and have they ever got the best design eye. have a look here for the full home visit.
- stylist Sibella Court of the society inc. has a look uniquely her own — a vintage vibe that leans a little bit towards the nautical, but never too, if you know what i mean. i love her sense of whimsy and this little nook she designed in her own home is just the perfect reading spot, is it not? pull that curtain closed and disappear into a great book.
- how about these charming old tile floors? this is another seaside cottage, this time in the province of cádiz in southwestern spain — a town i passed through on my way to Cadaqués a few years ago. i need to go back and this time visit cádiz — the whole area is dreamy and i highly recommend.
- i’m always a sucker for exposed wood beams and these are stunning. featured on @thisoldhudson, a real estate company in upstate new york, it’s one of their listings — a stunning property that includes two homes, a barn, your very own pond, and a stream on four acres of meditative land overlooking the Catskill Mountains. well, sigh.
