weekend greetings one and all. i don’t know about you, but i’m just beat this week and i’m looking forward to a bit of downtime and some quality reading with a new book on my backyard lounge (I just finished the plot and it was quite good). And should i gather the energy, maybe even a trip to the Long Beach Flea Market now that it’s open again. if you’ve never been it’s a really good one! have a restful weekend whatever you do.

- this is a wonderful west london home tour featured on the modern house belonging to Ayshea McCormack, the founder of the small home, a wonderful online shop. i love how she’s built these rustic bookshelves directly into the brick stairwell. be sure and view the full tour — it’s stunning!
- the venue report is a great resource for travel tips and guides and specifically this guide to central california — the photography is sublime and has me itching for a road trip. it’s a great site if you’re seeking an event or wedding location, too.
- i really love this clever tufted fabric diy headboard idea featured on rue and it makes me wish i were a better seamstress so i too could whip one up. it’s brittany shields’ quaint 1930’s duplex in atlanta, georgia and her entire home is so inspiring.
- i quite like the idea of this eclectic collection of vases – a very unique mix of vintage and new pretty tinted glass vessels, in different shapes and shades of color. if you like the look, try these from hawkins new york, or hunt etsy for vintage vessels and vases.
- i think you could say that this sweet kitchen space may just be the airstream of our dreams. i probably wouldn’t have thought you could tile a backsplash in an airstream, but they’ve done so beautifully. and i love the simple, clean and eclectic collection of glassware and ceramic mugs too.
- this beautiful room has always been a favorite of mine. it’s spare to be sure, but i think that’s part of its charm — that and the Scandinavian vibes these few pieces of furniture and that low, built-in daybed create. i could lounge here with some good reading material for days, or at least take a very lovely long nap.
- this wee kitchen is so charming. it reminds me of all the small but very utilitarian kitchens you see all over europe, which can be tiny but oh so quaint with their tidy bits of organized clutter and cookware stashed in every free space.
- i really love @doitbutdoitnow’s eclectic kitchen with its dried eucalyptus branch hanging front and center and those pretty paper lampshades, too. the shelving is really great, too. functional but oh-so-charming.
