if i had to choose just one favorite store in the whole wide world i know it would have to be new york city’s abc carpet & home. any visit i make to new york must include an idyllic and leisurely afternoon of exploring every floor of their beautiful six-floor Manhattan flagship showroom followed by a long, lazy lunch in the abc kitchen where i can sit, think and absorb all that inspiration. abc’s collections are unique and bespoke — an eclectic mix of bohemian modern and vintage-inspired — just my jam. the annual abc carpet & home summer sale is on and they very kindly invited me to share a little summer love with y’all. i couldn’t think of anything more beautiful than styling up an indoor picnic spread against a mix of a few of their stunning and one-of-a-kind rugs.
i paired this amazing handwoven vintage moroccan wool rug with a mod ‘flower power’ pattern for our top layer — wow! i then followed it with this unique geometric black & pink nomad vintage flat weave wool rug inspired by the colors, cultures, and landscapes of the eastern deserts — sigh — i’m quite sure this one wants to live with me permanently. and lastly, i added the bara bara vintage wool rug — an eccentric work of art, this collection brings the perfect mix of bohemian eclecticism to any space. the abc carpet & home sale is on through july 17th and there are gorgeous offerings up to 70% off! happy summer sale, indeed!
