yes, it is friday, yet again, even though it’s all just a blur these days. for this week’s friday finds i thought i’d round up some really cheerful and quite colorful inspiration for you. there are some really daring designers out there, i tell ya and i’m here to share what they’re up to. i’m not sure i’ve got the guts for these bold spaces but i am feeling a hankering for a little more color in my little abode. more on that soon. happy memorial day weekend, one and all. i’ll see you back here on tuesday.
xo, victoria
- this is just the prettiest little sitting room. the color pairing is most excellent and while rather unexpected looks so great together. i love the ochre yellow, washed-out rosy red and the pale pink vintage bedding together — just lovely.
- i’ve always had a mad crush on this holiday home — a former an old peasant house in the countryside of ibiza, but what i really love is the bold bedroom — i’d have never thought to pair camouflage print pillows in a million years with a bright red print bedspread, but it works! the lighting fixtures draped in florals are pretty rad, too.
- i’ve always been a fan of French artist Nathalie Lete’s quirky artistry, but this time she has taken her talents to a new level with her charming handpainted walls! you have to have a look at the whole house featured on domino.
- i have a thing for mesh french market totes — in that i can’t seem to get enough of them. and this pretty image with its abundance of fresh lemons makes me especially miss toting my bags to our local farmers market and stocking up on all the summer fruits available this season. sigh, soon i hope.
- i was quite taken with this charming little corner of @marcushay’s home — the styling and the color palette are oh so good. it’s not surprising though, because it’s the home of designer, stylist studio marcus hay, a multi-disciplinary creative studio based out of laguna beach — neighbors!
- these pretty basket pendant lamps look awfully nice hanging outside, don’t they? i may need to create a cozy little outdoor reading nook with this look in mind.
- audenza home shared Anna Jacobs insanely colorful home but it was her charming bathroom and that palm leaf print that i loved best. you can see more of anna’s cheerful world on her instagram feed.
- i just love these yellow acacia flowers. we have some growing in our garden, but only just a few, so i’d hate to forage them to bring inside and leave so little outside to grow and thrive. i think i’ll have to plant some more so i’ll be able to pick ’em and bring them indoors like this.
