happy weekend, friends. i’ve definitely got a case of spring fever because, as you may have noticed, i’ve gotten really colorful around here as of late. i’m just finding all these colorful spaces super inspiring and very uplifting, and never boring, not ever. this week’s friday finds feel pretty upbeat and whimsical so i hope they’re a kick-off to a joy-filled weekend for you. we all deserve it, right?

xo, victoria

  1. this kitchen is definitely what i mean by upbeat. i mean how could you not find yourself in a good mood while cooking in this buttery, beautiful kitchen? it’s got some pretty great tile floors and a sweet sink skirt happening, too.
  2. i’ve just discovered studio riviera and have become smitten with their gorgeous handmade and hand-painted pottery, made in Puglia. their styling is right up my alley, too — combining all the cheerful patterns of their collections into a kaleidoscope of whimsy. these cups remind me of those swirly spin art paintings i used to make as a kid.
  3. i’ve got a crush on any kind of cabinet with glass doors i can peek into, and @anekirstine.bilde’s pretty kitchen cabinet has so much charm. i love the addition of the little print curtain she added inside, too.
  4. designer dabito from old brand new shared a before and after of his fun bedroom and bath makeover and it’s just so great. i love the happy color palette and how when you’re looking from the bedroom to the bath his new arched shower almost looks like a work of art. well done, dabito!
  5. this built-in shelving has always caught my eye and is a forever favorite. i love how sleek and modern the shelving feels and the way designer, travel writer, and illustrator Zoé de Las Cases has styled it so sublimely. lovely little collections lurk in these pretty built-ins.
  6. speaking of beautiful shelving displays, how about these glassware collections i spied on @nimblewell and in honor of design? i think i may need to begin collecting these glass goblets, too. i just need to decide on a color palette and then dive in and begin the vintage hunt. such a cheerful way to serve cocktails.
  7. now here’s some sublime styling! i love this little collection of ceramics and random dishware from Interior, Food & Lifestyle photographer IDHA LINDHAG. what a fun creative exercise to play around with — just gather up your color coordinating pieces, create some clever and colorful displays, and shoot. i love this idea.
  8. how about this for a pretty spring tablescape? it might be a nice way to celebrate mother’s day, too. the florals are placed randomly but beautifully and that crown molding painted blue is pretty smashing, too. not to mention those contrasting tile floors. happiness abounds!
