i’ve never heard of fejø before now, but i could easily drop in for a summertime visit. fejø is a Danish island with just about 600 permanent inhabitants — now, that’s a small seaside village i can imagine getting lost in for a little while. Its population grows during Summer months when its summerhouse inhabitants arrive — take this sweet little summer cottage for example — it just looks like one very cozy spot to chill. captured beautifully by the very talented Copenhagen-based photographer peter kragballe, it’s not hard to miss its charm. those pale blue painted wood floors look like the sea itself, and i love the white beadboard ceiling — been thinking that might be a nice touch for my bathroom makeover. there’s loads of inspiration here for creating your own peaceful summer retreat. have a look around.
